Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Man Utd for Inter S

With the news yesterday that Emre Belozoglu was going to quite Inter at the end of the season came the speculation of where he will end off. So I thought it was worth looking at the main contenders.

1st Liverpool: they had an offer turned down for the player in January and have intimated that they would be willing to try again. Emre for his part has stated that he would not be ad versed to a move to Anfield.

2nd Arsenal: Probably the current favourites, as they fit straight into the players requirements namely, a move to the Premiership and a stated desire to sample life in London.

3rd Newcastle: And outside bet at the moment, but Emre has expressed nothing but compliments about Graham Souness and a mooted exchange with Kieron Dyer came to nothing in January, Emre was quoted as saying he was disappointed, that he would not get the chance to team up with Souness. So perhaps outside chance at the moment, but gaining on the rails.

And Lastly Manchester United: At the moment probably the least likely destination, although Man Utd have looked at Emre, down the years, they have seamed reluctant to take it any further, and personally I don’t think that standpoint is likely to change.

For my money I think it’s between Newcastle and Arsenal, with Arsenal favourites. Whether he will be a hit in the Premiership is debatable, he has undoubted skill, but many, including myself, feel that he could possibly be a bit lightweight for life in England.
