Despite a lack of competitive action for Chelsea, defender Robert Huth has been called up to the Germany squad to face Slovenia on March 26. This will be Huth’s fifth cap for his country and his national boss Jurgen Klinsmann spoke very highly of the player, stating:
"Robert is in great shape, even if he has not played an awful lot for Chelsea recently.
"Joachim Low spent a week with him recently and was convinced by his good form."
"We also asked Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho what the future holds for Robert."
Although exactly what the future does hold for Huth remains unclear, with constant speculation linking him with a move away from Chelsea, to either another Premiership side, or a return to his native Germany a distinct possibility.
