Spurs hope for Verona Star

Valon Behrami, who plays for Serie B side Hellas Verona has spoken of his desire to move to England and join Spurs, stating: “I have to say the truth, I love English football.

It’s the type of football that I prefer over all the rest. Therefore I would be glad to join a Premiership side. If there was the possibility, I would immediately go there. I am enjoying my stay in Italy, but English football fascinates me a great deal.”

He has been linked for some time with Spurs and was for a while attracting interest from Juventus, the Kosovo born youngster has certainly led an interesting life, have to flee the war in his native land, eventually settling in Switzerland.

He has done well at Hellas, but is actually owned by Genoa, who will have little option but to sell should the right offer come in, but any offer is not likely to be until the summer, so he can continue to help the brigate Gialloblu, towards their return to Serie A.
