Chelsea defender Robert Huth has once again stated his long term desire to return to his native Germany, in his search for regular first team football.
And while he has failed to make much of an impression on the first team set up at Chelsea under boss Jose Mourinho, he has been getting a great deal of interest off Bayern Munich.
It would seem likely that Huth will move this summer if he is to secure a place in Jurgen Klinsmann's World Cup squad in 2006. Add that to the fact that he is just about surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge these days and Bayern could be on to a winner.
"I've always said I would be interested in playing in Germany," said Huth.
"Obviously I have the pressure to play for a club where I will be guaranteed first team football because I know I need that to stand a chance of playing at the World Cup."
