Spanish joy for Liverpool star

Luis Garcia’s fine form for Liverpool has been rewarded with a call up to the Spanish national side, but Garcia’s joy, will be met by disappointment for team mate Fernando Morientes who has once again been overlooked by Luis Aragones.

Spain will play China in Salamanca on Wednesday before moving onto and Serbia & Montenegro in a World Cup qualifier four days later.

It is actually the third time that Garcia has been called up by Spain, but is yet to play for them, so he will be desperately hoping to earn his first cap on this trip.
