Ronaldo Throws Bottle at Fans

Real Madrid’s Ronaldo threw a bottle (plastic) at fans after they insulted him as he came off the pitch.

Ronaldo was substituted in the 85^th minute as Portillo went on in the match against Malaga.

 

As the Brazilian star but his jacket on, fans hurled racial insults at him and spat gum at him. One fan then said something about Ronaldo’s mother, causing the striker to throw a plastic water bottle at the fans in rage.

 

Ronaldo said:

 

"They insulted me and my mother and I had a bad reaction,"

 

"When I got close to the bench two young lads shouted racist insults against me and my mother. I reacted in the wrong way, but the insults were very bad...It was nothing, really,"

 

Nobody was hurt and Ronaldo has apologised but it is yet to be seen if Real Madrid or the Spanish FA will take any action.
