AC Milan move for Newcastle player?

The Italian press are speculating that AC Milan are about to make a move for Hugo Viana, come the summer. He is currently on loan to Sporting Lisbon, but it is thought that they will be unable to meet Newcastle’s five million pound asking price.

Ac Milan director Ariedo Braida is understood to have put together a dossier on Viana and hope to tempt him to Serie A.

Newcastle signed Viana for £8.5m back in 2002 and great things were hoped for him, but unable to secure a regular place in the side he was unable to settle in the Premership.

I personally think Viana will go onto great things, I just don’t feel his game was suited to the premiership, perhaps life in Italy will suit him better.
