Valencia claim Arsenal star again

Valencia are once again claiming that they have captured the signature of Arsenal midfielder Edu and he will join them at the end of the season. Edu is out of contract at Arsenal then and has shown little interest in extending his contract.

Valencia have been stating for a while that Edu would join them, in fat they stated, wrongly as it turned out that he would join them in January, but that failed to materialise, with Arsenal and Valencia unable to agree terms.

Valencia sporting director Eduardo Macia stated:

"Edu is an excellent player and necessary for a Valencia side, who need big stars like him.”

"The definitive closing of the contract will take place in the next few weeks and everything is already solved by his agent. We have spoken with him and Edu, who is happy to come to the Spanish league."
