Birmingham striker admits to Barca love

Birmingham striker Walter Pandiani has stated that he would love to play for Barcelona, which will be ban news for Birmingham who were hoping to sign Pandiani on a permanent basis, once his loan deal ended.

He does say that he has settled at Birmingham, but wouldn’t think twice about joining Barcelona.

"It would be a dream to go to Barcelona, a dream that would be unbelievable," he told Spanish radio, before adding: "I am happy here (Birmingham), I would give 10 out of 10 to the fans, the coach and my team-mates."

Speaking of his Deportivo coach Javier Irureta Pandiani still showed some of the bitterness between the two has not left him and left little doubt that he would not be returning to the club.

"I believe that the coach has done wrong by me and I have said this a million times.”

"A lot of my team-mates, half of the squad, think this way - some who play and others who don't - and all are not in agreement at the way things are being done and how they are working.”

"There were people who played without heart, not only in their match performances but in the way they trained during the week.”

"Sometimes they did not turn up to training, arrived late or came after having drunk too much.”

"It would be difficult to return to Deportivo because they committed a lot of injustices while I always gave my all. This is hurtful for me and for this reason also I do not want to return to Deportivo."
