Newcastle United: Casino plans torn to shreds

Newcastle United’s plan to build a so called super casino now lies in ruins after the Government climbed down and slashed the number of proposed casinos to just one.

Originally there was going to be 24, but that was cut to 8 amidst opposition from back bench MP’s.

But just as the election is called, that number has been slashed again to just one, which is almost certainly to be based in Blackpool.
