UEFA don't spare Feyenoord

The UEFA offer Feyenoord any mercy in their court case today. The South-Rotterdam outfit will have to play their next European home game without spectators. Feyenoord chairman Van Den Herik is considering whether to make an appeal or not.

The cause of this UEFA punishment were the disturbances made by Feyenoord supporsters during the UEFA cup tie against Sporting Lisbon in Rotterdam. Some Feyenoord fans threw all sorts of goods towards the Sporting players. Besides, a bomb exploded near Sporting goalkeeper Ricardo.

Next to playing in an empty stadium, Feyenoord also got a 17.000 euro fine. According to a statement on the Feyenoord website from chairman Van Den Herik this incident will cost Feyenoord around a half million euro's because of lack of income of ticket money and sponsors.

Feyenoord will make a decision this week whether to apeal or not.
