Manchester United, Chelsea battle for Brazilian

Brazilian youngster Barreto, who currently plays his football for Treviso in Italy’s Serie B is set to be at the centre of a three way fight for his signature, between Manchester United, Chelsea and Palermo.

Barreto has caught the eye of several sides this season, with some excellent performances, and has been the subject of several enquires, with Palermo hoping to steal a march on their opposition, by getting in an early offer of three million plus a player.

But both Manchester United and Chelsea have had the player watched this season and are thought to be preparing their own bids.
