Werder Bremen: Call me Ismael

Werder Bremen stopper Valerien Ismael has dismissed any move by the great white whale that is Bayern Munich, by denying that he has ever had any contact with the German giants.

Ismael has been a big hit in the Bundesliga and has been attracting a lot of admirers, including Bayern who see him as a replacement for one of their departing stars either Robert Kovac, Samuel Kuffour or Thomas Linke.

But Ismael remains committed to Werder Bremen stating:

"For the moment I am certain to stay," Ismael told But!

"I have nothing else concrete, I had no contact with Bayern Munich. “

"It has all started with Hoeness and Beckenbauer's words. “

"But it remains only rumour, Bayern are looking for a central defender so they explore Huth, Meira, van Buyten and I. “

"The club's politics is to hire a young international, van Buyten matches that profile much more."
