Bixente Lizarazu has publicly criticised Chelsea ahead of the UEFA Champions League game between the two sides, insisting on Bayern superiority in their way of doing things.
And casting aspersions on Roman Abramovich future with the club:
"You could say that it's tradition against big business," Lizarazu told Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
"Bayern is a real football club with a true history and their own culture and philosophy while Chelsea can only act like they do because they have the money from Abramovich.”
"He is a billionaire and once he is gone they'll be an ordinary club again.”
"This club is completely depended from one guy, while clubs like Bayern or Manchester United have grown over decades.”
"Abramovich loves football and invests, which is generally a good thing, but look at Real Madrid, it's not enough to spend big money.”
"I prefer Bayern's philosophy of constant growth, that's for sure and it will be a great pleasure to beat this company.”
