Liverpool skipper out of Juve Game

Liverpool’s Champions League challenge has been dealt a blow with the news that their captain Steven Gerrard has been ruled out of the game and will not travel with the rest of the squad.

He suffered a groin strain in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City and in what has become a miserable week for Gerrard been ruled out of the trip to Turin by Liverpool’s medical staff.

Liverpool are looking to defend a 2-1 advantage at the Stadio Delle Alpi, a difficult enough task under any circumstance.
