Chivu staying put at Roma

Taking time out from Roma’s self imposed press black out Christian Chivu today spoke to Roma fans assuring them that he will be staying with the club from the capital.

There were worries that the club would be forced to sell one of it’s star players and with Chivu being worth around 20 million Euros a lot of people were tipping him for a move.

But Chivu stated:

“I have three years left on my contract and I am happy to stay at Roma.”

“When we have our fans close to us we are proud and happy for what they do for the team. I want to say sorry for breaking the black-out, I know I’ll be fined, but I feel the fans love me and they deserve to hear this.”
