Nesta speaks on Milan derby troubles After the match between Inter Milan and AC Milan had to be halted because of crowd trouble AC Milan’s defender Nesta gave his view.

“Yes we are saddened by what has happened, we wanted to celebrate what has happened in the match, not what happened to stop it.”

“The ref tried, but as soon as we re-entered the field, the missiles started again an the ref said Enough, stop.”

“The game itself? Inter came to attack, they had nothing to lose and they threw everything at us, but we played to our best abilities and stopped the attack, although they managed to test DIda on two or three occasions.”
