Chelsea want Jose for next ten years

Peter Kenyon is hoping he can persuade Jose Mourinho to stay at Chelsea for at least the next ten years. Having already tied Mourinho down to an extra five years at Stamford Bridge, Kenyon is hoping to at least double that.

"I don't see why Jose can't be with Chelsea for the next ten years," Kenyon stated.

"If you look at the really successful teams there is a lot of continuity. We had that at (Manchester) United, and Arsenal have it too.

"Jose is only 41 and wants to win things. He's the right age, has the right squad and the right team.

"That's why I'm sure he'll be our manager for many years to come.

"That was part of the discussions we had right from the first time we met him.
"There has been a transformation here since Jose arrived.

"We knew we had good players and a good squad but he's changed things and that's why we are in a Champions league semi-final and top of the league.

"The difference from last season has been the preparation under Jose, the team ethic, the work ethic.

"Everybody plays for each other and no individual is bigger than the team."

Personally I cannot see him staying for ten years as he seems to be a man who thrives on new challenges, but time will tell.
