Middlesbrough check out Juventus star Middlesbrough had a trip to Turin last week and the object of their attention was allegedly Juventus star Stephen Appiah.

It has long been expected that Appiah and Juventus will part company in the summer, and Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren hopes to persuade him to come to the Riverside.

Boro are rumoured to want to take him on loan, with Juventus wanting a straight cash deal, however it is rumoured that the two parties should be able to come to a deal and Appiah himself is said to be keen on the proposed move.
