Spurs chase Canadian midfielder

Canadian midfielder Paul Stalteri is rumoured to be a summer target for Spurs boss Martin Jol who hopes to capture the player on a free contract from Werder Bremen in the summer.

Stalteri actually turned down a move to England last year when Crystal Palace attempted to lure him to England, but is said to be a lot more tempted by the Spurs proposal.

He can play on either flank or even as a full back, and its as a full back that Spurs primarily see him operating.
