Barcelona star turned down Liverpool

Samuel Eto'o has stated in an interview with El Mundo Deportivo that he turned down the chance to join Liverpool, stating he preferred Barcelona and disliked English weather.

"Although they (Liverpool) offered me €6 million a season, there are more important things than money.”

"Happiness does not have a price. You can't buy someone's happiness.”

"I know because I left a place in which I did not laugh much, where everything seemed grey (in reference to his time with Real Madrid)."
