Another Injury Blow For AZ

AZ Alkmaar have suffered a further injury setback after Jan Kromkamp's season was brought to an abrupt end. AZ, who are fighting for a UEFA Champions League spot, have already lost Dutch international Joris Mathijssen and Martijn Meerdink to lengthy injuries.

Now Kromkamp has joined the list after undergoing ankle surgery. Kromkamp has a slight fracture, but he could not carry on - meaning he will miss the end of the Eredivisie season and AZ's upcoming Uefa Cup semi-final with Sporting Lisbon.
