Tottenham line up £13 million bid

The Italian press are today claiming that Spurs are lining up a £13 million pound bid for Nerazzurri starlet Obafemi Martins. It was rumoured yesterday that they were after Martins and Emre, but now it seems that it’s just Martins that interests them.
Inter are desperate to hang on to the young star but have been scouting several strikers this season, and Martins will not be happy to be a permanent fixture on the bench.
His power and pace could make him ideally suited to the Premiership and it s this that is tempting Spurs into a substantial cash bid.
It is still thought unlikely that Inter will allow the player to leave though, but if they do sign one of the players they have been linked with such as Atalanta’s Stephen Makinwa and Lecce hitman Mirko Vucinic, Martins himself may feel it is time to move on.
