Juan Sebastian Veron has spoken of a chance to return to his home land with Boca Juniors has been offered him by Argentine legend and new Boca sporting director Diego Armando Maradona.
“It is true that Diego called me to explain this intriguing offer and to tell me about his new adventure with Boca,” Veron stated speaking to Argentine newspaper ‘Ole’.
But he cautioned that he was more than happy to remain in Milan for the time being:
“I am happy at Inter and my family is also settled here. It seems as if the political situation in Argentina is stabilising, but when the safety of my nearest and dearest is at risk then it’s an easy choice to make.”
“In any case, we will see how my situation pans out in the future.”
Veron is on loan at Inter from Chelsea and at present his future is in doubt with the two clubs unable to reach agreement.
