Hellas Verona could scupper Gilardino sale

Chelsea, Inter Milan and any other side willing to pay the £35 million asking price for Parma’s Alberto Gilardino, may just have an unexpected problem when it comes to actually landing him.

When Gilardino joined Parma from Verona in 2002, they maintained a private 50 % split in the player, which should entitle them to 50% of any profits from the eventual sale.

However Parma in the shape of panto villains everywhere are laughing through their masks and saying that it is nonsense and they bought the full rights to the player later that same year.

But When the market does eventually open, Hellas are expected to press there claims for what they believe is their fair share.
