International recall for Liverpool star

Liverpool’s Dietmar Hamann has earned a recall to the German national side in time for their participation in the the Confederations Cup next month.

His last match for Germany was the Germany's 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic in Euro 2004, however his form for Liverpool and their Champions league exploits have earned him another chance to prove himself before next years World cup in Germany.

Also recalled to the side is Bayern Munich's Sebastian Deisler, who hasn’t played for his country since the 2-0 victory over Iran in October.
