French calling for Newcastle star

Jean Alain Boumsong has been called up by France for the game against Hungary, this will make 11 full international caps for the player who joined Newcastle from Rangers in January.

It is also a sign of the changing face of French football. Boumsong has made a promising start to life in the Premiership and more is expected to come.

The match itself will be played in Metz on Tuesday May 31st.
