Recently connected with a move to London, with Arsenal and Spurs both reportedly interested Juventus Icon Alessandro Del Piero has told the Turin based club, that unless they play him more often next season he will quit the Italian giants.
“I still feel honoured to play for Juve. I planned to remain and end my career with Juventus, but I need to be a protagonist. If I find out that I cannot be that, I will take into consideration the option of leaving. I don’t know if I would be ready to face another season like this.”
He then reacted angrily when asked if he should single Capello out for praise:
“And why should I? Just tell me why I should thank him. I thank Capello just like I thank everyone for this victory: from the team mates to the club. He has his merits just like we all have our own merits in this Scudetto. I don’t think that there is the need to thank the coach particularly. He has the merits just like we all do.”
