The Spur who went back to the cold

Former Spurs and West Ham striker Sergei Rebrov has returned to the club he made his name with Dynamo Kiev. Arriving at Spurs in 2000 for 11 million pounds, great things were expected of Rebrov.

His former strike partner Shevchenko, went on the be one of the best strikers on the planet, and there were many who though Spurs had landed themselves a gem. But it never really worked for Rebrov, and I doubt too many tears are being shed by West Ham fans at the moment.

Upon preparing to re-join Kiev He said these words:

"I was a free agent and had a number of choices, but Dynamo was the only place I really wanted to come to re-start my career."

"I’m glad I came back. My soul belongs here."
