Benfica Will Present Koeman Today

Portuguese champions Benfica will present their new manager, Ronald Koeman, today according to sources in Holland. Koeman recently left Ajax and will rival fellow Dutch coach Co Adriaanse, who signed for FC Porto a few weeks ago, for the Portuguese championship next term.

The Benfica board choose their new manager on Sunday. "But we are not going to announce who he will be yet" stated chairman Luis Felipe Vieira afterwards in the Portuguese daily 'Publico'. Koeman's agent reported earlier an interest from Benfica.

Koeman were heavily linked with moves to Valencia, Deportivo La Coruña and Atlético Madrid earlier this month.
