Spurs prepare to go Dutch

AZ Alkmaar director of football Martin van Geel is being fingered as a likely candidate to take over for the soon to be departing Frank Arnesen.

An amazing season in the Dutch league that has saw tiny AZ reach the semi finals in Europe as well as doing very well in their own league, is said to have impressed Spurs officials.

Also it can hardly hurt for them to give Martin Jol a Dutch compatriot to work along side of. Van Geel has an excellent record in the transfer market and would be ideally placed to stepping into the breach.
