Rebrov tells of international dream

Ex Spurs and Wet Ham striker Serhiy Rebrov has spoken of his desire to rejoin the Ukraine national side. The Ukraine stand on the brink of World Cup qualification for the first time in their history and Rebrov wants to be a part of it:

"I really want to get back into the national team," he told uefa.com. "Playing for one's country is always a huge honour for any footballer. But I know I need to be playing for my club before I can play for my country. I'll be doing everything I can to make sure that happens."

He also spoke of his return to Dynamo Kiev after a 5 year absence:

"Dynamo is my team, Kiev is my city, these are my fans," he said. "I spent my most "I've had enough of playing abroad. Here I've got my friends, my family, my wife's family," he added. "I know have a great chance to help the club, and to help myself. I said to Ihor Mihailovich: I'll accept whatever you pay me and I'll do whatever I can to help the club - money is not the most important thing."

But he doesn’t expect to just waltz into the starting line up:

"All four of the current strikers are top quality," he said. "But if Dynamo are signing me, it means they must see a role for me."
