George Best Arrested

Manchester United legend George Best was today released on police bail after allegations that he punched a woman. Best denies striking Vicky Pope, 34, a friend of his ex-lover Gina Devivo.

She has claimed in newspapers that Best punched her on the neck as she attempted to block his path, he spent over nine hours in police custody before being released.
