Newcastle United: Portsmouth deal complete

Andy O'Brien is now a Portsmouth player, after the club signed him on an undisclosed fee from Newcastle United. He arrived on Tyneside four years ago, from Bradford for £1million.
In that time he has made 172 appearances for Newcastle, but will probably be best remembered by Newcastle fans for the goal he scored against Sunderland.
A good a loyal servant of the club, he looked to be staying after signing a contract extension as late as January, but has now been deemed surplus to requirements at St James Park.
