Valencia and Barcelona watch as Arsenal talks stal

Valencia and Barcelona are keeping a close watch on events at Highbury, where talks between Arsenal and Robert Pires have reportedly broken down. Pires is after a two year contract, but Arsenal are only willing to offer 12 months.

Valencia and Barcelona are both long term admirers of Pires, and are ready to move should Arsenal not reach terms with the French International.

He does at this time though have 12 months remaining on his contract, but it is though that Arsenal would rather cash in on him, than allow him to leave for free next season.
