Inter Milan midfielder Emre will choose between Newcastle United and Everton, when he returns from his summer holiday next Thursday. Speaking before the Coppa Italia his agent Ahmet Bulent stated:

"Emre still has two years on his contract with Inter, but he has received six offers from England.

"It's still too soon to say where his destination could be.

"This evening Emre has an important match, the return-leg of the Coppa Italia final and then he will go on vacation for a week, therefore before next Thursday we will not be able to speak with any club.

"When he returns we will begin to talk about the offers received, but we can already say that next year Emre will play in England - 90% sure."

And while he may not be naming the club his client will end off with the Italian press are not so shy, making light of the alleged six offers and stating in reality it’s a straight fight between Everton and Newcastle, with Newcastle being favoured due to Souness’ Turkish connections.

Wages yet still may prove a sticking point for both English sides, but Emre has hinted that he will reduce his wage demands from what they are at Inter.
