Andriy Shevchenko has spoken about potentially losing his friend Kakha Kaladze to Chelsea stating: 'He has made a decision with his heart and that must be accepted, he has not played that much in the last two years and he really wants to play consistently.’
‘The side have lost a really great player but more than that I have lost a true friend, I am really disappointed about that.'
He then went on to talk about his chance of steering the Ukraine into their first ever World Cup finals:
'I want to savour what it means to play in the World Cup, it really picks at your feelings, the Ukrainian people have waited for this moment for 15 years. I think this could be our year.
