Juve Closer to Cassano Deal

Italian giants Juventus have revealed they are closer to a deal for Antonio Cassano, after agreeing to meet up with Roma officials.

The temperamental-striker has yet to sign a new contract at Roma and the delay in this has fuelled rumours he will be leaving ni the summer.

 

Roma are looking to sell as they do not want to lose the highly-rated forward for free in a year’s time.

 

Now Roma have appointed Luciano Spalletti as head coach, talks for a deal on Cassano can begin, with €15 million being the price thrown around, possibly with Mutu or Miccoli being thrown in to secure the deal.

 

Juve general manager Luciano Moggi said:

 

"We have a good relationship with Roma,"

 

"It was useless to meet in the past few days due to the fact they hadn't chosen their new coach.

 

"We will meet next week when we could discuss, with calm, a few things."
