Arsenal star to Valencia?

Valencia are this morning being linked with a move for Arsenal’s Robert Pires, they of course have already raided Arsenal once for midfielder Edu, but sporting director Javier Subirats admitted they could be back for more stating:

"Pires is a top player who is known worldwide.”

"We have already signed Edu from Arsenal and to have two midfielders of such a high calibre will be a massive coup."

Although Pires has a year left on his Arsenal contract, the sticking point in the negotiations is the extension to that contract, with Arsenal only willing to offer a year, where the player wants a 2 year deal.
