After failing and suspending medical tests, Patrick Kluivert’s transfer to Valencia was approved by the team’s doctor Rafael Llombart as he found the Dutch striker’s knee has recovered well from surgery. The striker will play in Valencia for three years.

The doctor also stated that the former Newcastle player is ready to join the pre-season training with the rest of the team and will be physically in condition to play the first round of the Intertoto Cup, if new coach Quique Sánchez Flores wants him to play.

Valencia had announced ten days ago that the transfer was to be delayed since because of the knee surgery Kluivert had undergone, it was impossible to check the real condition of his left leg.
