Chelsea Fail With Gerrard Bid

It appears a British record £32 million bid is not enough for Real Madrid and Chelsea target, Steven Gerrard after Liverpool rejected a bid.

The Champions League winner pledged his future to Liverpool, but after contract negotiations broke down it seemed he would head to Chelsea, or Real Madrid.

 

But after Chelsea bid a British record £32 million, it was turned down by the Reds.

 

Rick Parry, Liverpool’s Chief Executive said:

 

"I can confirm we have had a bid from Chelsea and that it will be rejected by us,"
