Figo to join Liverpool

Newcastle United, Spurs, Bolton and a host of others look to have lost out on Real Madrid’s Luis Figo, who is poised to join Liverpool according to Spanish daily Marca.

They are said to have agreed a 3 million euro deal with Madrid, and were trying to negotiate personal terms with the Portuguese legend.

The likes of Newcastle were put off by reported 90,000 a week wage demands, as of yet there is no news on how much Liverpool are willing to pay him.
