Middlesbrough fail in Saviola Attempt

Middlesbrough have failed in an attempt to lure Javier Saviola to their club. Saviola is also a target for Spurs and Newcastle United, but they too could be out of luck as it seams the player wants to remain in Spain and is not attracted to the prospect of playing in England.

Barcelona have given him two weeks to find a new club with Atletico Madrid, Espanyol and Real Zaragoza all possibilities, but whether they will be willing to meet his rather hefty wage packet remains to be seen.
