Hiddink set for Australia

Guus Hiddink could be the new coach of the Australian national team according to the Aussie press. The PSV manager was abroad a few days to hold talks with the Football Federation Australia (FFA).

The 48 year old manager still has the desire to coach a team during a World Cup. Hiddink did this succesfully in the past with Holland and South Korea. With both teams he got to the semi-finals in 1998 with Holland and 2002 with South Korea.

Quite a few countries were being linked with Hiddink before but it seems Australia are the most serious.

At the moment Australia are being coached by Graham Arnold. The ex Roda JC and NAC Breda player will coach the Aussies till they found a new coach.

If Hiddink signs for Australia he will combine it with his current job at PSV.
