Liverpool S(t)eal Sissoko Deal

Liverpool have won the race for Mohammed Sissoko's signature. The Mali international had looked like joining Everton for the past few weeks, but The Reds are now surprisingly Sissoko's new employers.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez signed the 20 year old for Valencia from French side Auxerre two years ago and believes he can be a useful addition to his team.

The Reds will pay €8 million for the African and he will sign a four year deal with the reigning European champions.

Rafa Benitez told Sky Sports about his latest capturing: "He's a centre midfielder who is very, very good, he has a high energy level and is always working.

"He's also not bad with the ball and he can give us a balance in the middle.

"He's had two good years with Valencia where he has won trophies. I know him well and he's a very good player."
