Arsenal and Spurs target to remain in Spain

In a conversation with ARC-1 radio in Spain tonight Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle United target Julio Baptista wants to remain in Spain for at least one more year in orser to obtain a Spanish passport.

He told ARC-1 radio:

"If i go to arsenal now i wont get that spanish passport, after your third year in spain it's no probem"

A European passport would of course make him a lot more attractive to European clubs, and with Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be waiting in the wings, it looks like, his time for moving is not yet upon us.
