Rangers sign French Starlet

Rangers have finally landed French starlet Dany N'Guessan from Auxerre, beating off competition from Valencia, Marseille, Bordeaux and Manchester City along the way.

He has signed a two year deal with the Scottish champions and speaking to the clubs official website Adams, Rangers' Head of Youth Development couldn’t have been happier, enthusing:

"Dany has all the attributes to be a big player for Rangers in the future.

"He is tall at 6' 1" but he is also very quick and clever with the ball at his feet.

"He can also score a few goals from midfield so it is understandable that several clubs from France and England were interested in him.

"He was recomended to us through our contacts in France and we moved quickly to get him over to Scotland for a trial.

"This gave us the opportunity to watch him in training and he was also put through his paces by Alex McLeish and the first-team squad.

"The manager liked what he saw and, like John Brown, Ian Durrant, Davie Kirkwood and myself, felt that Dany could have a big future at Rangers Football Club.

"He will start by playing in the Reserves but we would hope he would make quick progress and that he can push his way in to the first-team set up in the near future."
