Turkish delight for Arsenal star?

Galatasaray are today claiming that they are close to tying up a deal for Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires. Pries has recently refused a 12 month extension at Arsenal preferring a longer contract.

And this has prompted much speculation that he would be on his way out as Arsenal would rather realise some cash from the player rather than risk losing him on a free next year.

Galatasaray president Ozhan Canaydyn stated:

"The agreement has not been reached yet, but we can say that we are making progress towards finalising it."
