Villa deny Barca link

Aston Villa manager David O'Leary has denied reports that he is interested in signing striker Javier Saviola from Barcelona. Saviola will be leaving Barcelona over the course of the summer but it seems unlikely to be Villa he is goinf to after O’Leary told the clubs website:

"Saviola? That's why I don't read the papers."

"That's why I was supposed to have been in Barcelona last week was it? I haven't been to Spain in the last week."
