Owen told he can leave Madrid

With Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United all reportedly interested in signing England striker Michael Owen, they will have to get their acts together to make their bids after a Real Madrid source confirmed he would be allowed to leave in the summer.

Speaking to the Sunday Times they stated:

"Michael is popular with the fans and he is popular within the club, but if he comes to us and says that he believes the best thing for him is to leave, we will have to respect that."
